This new built house is located in the suburb of Burwood East, seventeen kilometres south-east from the city.
The land slopes down from south to north, and the interior floor level steps down with it in the effort to prevent destabilising an existing street elm tree.
The use of exposed light-coloured bricks (arranged in different patterns) throughout the building exterior, provides a sense of uniformity to the house that is articulated by various opened interior volumes.
Interior spaces of this double storey house defined and enclosed a central courtyard, while allowing sunlight into the central Kitchen.
